SailTime and SNC Armada sets sail for France!

Hard work during the crossing
Six of our yachts ranging from 34 foot to 43 feet set sail on Friday to spend the weekend in Cherbourg. Our party of 33 members set sail from Hamble early Friday morning sailing through the Solent, rendevouing with our Lymington yachts before shooting through the Needles channel and across to France. Led by Adam our Chief Instructor, this was for many of our members their first Offshore passage. What a great way to build on the Day Skipper qualification, sailing in company with experienced yachtsmen around you taking your own SailTime Yacht to France and back. Our larger yachts arrived first and were there to help the later arriving smaller yachts. Then the party began with fine wine and seafood before colapsing for a well earned good nights sleep. A lazy day in the sunshine unfolded on Saturday before setting sail again that evening for the return. The first proper night passgae for many of our members ment this weekend was not just great fun with great company but hughly experience building as well. Comments from returning members are flooding in, ‘brilliant’, ‘fantastic trip’, ‘Adam was fantastic, getting the balance between control and self responsibility just right’ were just some of the initial comments. A great experience that we will be repeating again in the Autumn. Join SailTime and be part of the fun!
